![]() And once you know more, come back and give us an update if you find a minute, we're keeping our fingers crossed this second time lump will be nothing serious. Until then, post as much as you need, we're here to listen. Hopefully some of our members will come along shortly to give you the advice you seek. It's not always easy to communicate these things with those who are close to us, is it? Often times we are left with the sense they wouldn't untersdand or we simply don't want to worry them in ways we find unnecessary, so I'm glad you decided to join our community as I'm sure you'll meet others here who can relate to what you are going through at the moment. I think we can all relate to how anxious you're right now but the most important step you have already taken, which was to phone your GP to get an appointment with the breast clinic. Welcome to Cancer Chat, JoJoH, although I'm sorry to hear about the reason that brings you here. Unfortunately, being fixed to the underlying tissue is a common. Also by not telling anyone it makes it not real in my head. Poor Tinker Some lipomas (fatty tumors) can become fixed, but yes general they are movable. Haven’t told my partner or family as don’t want to worry anyone as our family has been through enough lately. I’m hoping it’s the same but I’m so worried it’s not. I’m 48 years old and I have been to breast clinic before as had cyst previously in left breast. I called and called GP and been to see her this morning to be told it is a lump and she’s referring me to breast clinic immediately and should hear from them within next two weeks. I checked it again before bed when I was laying down and then again this morning in shower as I thought I was over exaggerating it. Symptoms are still ongoing and I'm now waiting for a gasostrophy - not convinced this will show anything. I was horrified to find the small lump that was a size of a pea is now size of a fifty pence piece. Consultant said either edge of liver or floating rib. Yesterday I was feel bit rough so had a relaxing bath and because I had read about someone I knew having lump deep inside the breast tissue I thought I would do proper check. This was about 6 months ago anyway had lots going on in my life emotionally and although this is not an excuse I have not been checking myself. So I noticed a small lump under my right breast near my rib and thought it must be something to do with my rib cage so left it alone.
